Summary

In this poem poetess is on the way to Cochin airport .she is in the car her mother is seated beside her, she is in light sleep with an open mouth and pale face like a dead body (corpse). Some worse thoughts were coming into her mind so in the way to distract herself she started looking outside from the car window. She saw outside sprinting trees,  merry children spilling out of their homes. But when he reached the airport. On the airport security check a few yards from her mother. she looked at her again . she seemed pale as winter moon to her . that time she felt a familiar ache(afraid of losing her mother ) her childhood fear.
